Sneha was diagnosed with colon cancer in November. The oncology team at Pune Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in January. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Sneha is 49, worked as a shop owner until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Pune Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,750 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,200 • Scans and lab work: $110 • Transport to Pune Cancer Centre: $135 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $50 • Household costs while unable to work: $255 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
