Skylar can't leave home - help build a ramp
Skylar uses a wheelchair and cannot leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇺🇸 Reading, Pennsylvania, United States350 views
Skylar has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Skylar can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Skylar's family will cook lunch for the team.

So sorry you're going through this, Nolan. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Dublin.
