Simon received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
After the loss of a second income, Simon is 5 months behind on rent and has a court summons for non-payment from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the packaging plant, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Friday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,800.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• Utilities in arrears: $250
• First month of rent as a buffer: $720
• Rent arrears (5 months): $2,830
With deep gratitude,
Simon

Sending strength, Simon. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Sent it to 12 people at work. Blessings.
Take care. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together.
