Fort Portal
Simiyu was diagnosed with kidney cancer in January. The oncology team at Fort Portal Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in March. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Simiyu is 24, worked as a construction supervisor until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Fort Portal Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $300 goes: • Scans and lab work: $155 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $85 • Transport to Fort Portal Regional Medical Center: $60 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Faith
