Silke needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $6,700.

Silke lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Wiesbaden Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $6,700.
Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Silke could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.

• Delivery and set-up: $170
• First-year servicing plan: $250

what exactly is the $6,700 for?
Sure. The biggest one is braille note-taker, $6,000. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Let me know if you want more detail.
