A scheduled knee replacement surgery in June is out of reach without help covering $4,850 of the cost.

Silas was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in February. The surgeon at London Regional Medical Center recommended knee replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,750, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $4,850 short.
my brother has been in and out of London Regional Medical Center since February. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Silas struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Silas won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
