Si-woo lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Mapo Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400. His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment Si-woo could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $400 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $250 • Delivery and set-up: $40 • First-year servicing plan: $110 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

  • So sorry you're going through this. Hope the doctors have good news. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.

    • So sorry you're going through this, Eun-ji. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'll check back for the next update.

      • Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care

        • Sending strength, Eun-ji. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Mumbai
