In June I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. My oncology team at Pune Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in August. I was told to expect about 4 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 47, I worked as a bakery worker until June, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Pune Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $550 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $270
• Household costs while unable to work: $145
• Transport to Pune Regional Medical Center: $135

Wanted to say thank you properly. 78% funded and I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts.
Quick update: $175 raised so far (32%). the plan for household costs while unable to work is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

It's all in the list in the story. scans and lab work is the big one at $270, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Fair thing to want to know.
