Shinjuku typhoon relief - the families of Orchard Lane
Neighbors in the families of Orchard Lane are rebuilding after the typhoon; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The typhoon hit the families of Orchard Lane on 2 July. My home was one of 18 damaged, and 2 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $5,800 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,750
• Clean water and purification supplies: $640
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,000
• Food parcels for displaced families: $620
• Tools and labor for repairs: $790
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending good thoughts, Satoshi. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Coimbatore donated after I showed her your page. Take care.
I hope things turn around soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Boulogne-Billancourt
Thanks for sharing this, Satoshi. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Shinjuku.
Rooting for you, Satoshi. This could happen to any of us. I hope August is when things finally get easier
You're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 26 years in construction I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Blessings
hope it all works out, Satoshi. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Hang in there, Satoshi. This could happen to any of us. Love from Hanoi.
