Shelling damage in Kyiv: help the Old Town district rebuild
After the shelling damage, families in the Old Town district need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The shelling damage hit the Old Town district on 2 August. My home was one of 39 damaged, and 2 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $750 goes:
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $120
• Food parcels for displaced families: $360
• Tools and labor for repairs: $270
Thanks for being kind about this.

hope it all works out, Alina. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
Best of luck. Hope this works out for you. Wish I lived closer to Savar so I could bring a meal.

I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Kyiv
Sending strength, Alina. I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
