Sheldon's final semester of a teaching qualification in Spanish Town
Sheldon has worked and saved for five years to study a teaching qualification; a $1,500 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Sheldon is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at the Spanish Town Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,500.
The registrar has said Sheldon can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Sheldon has a 3.8 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Sheldon would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Sheldon isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $380
• Exam and lab fees: $70
• Final term tuition: $1,050
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
