Sergio's thyroid cancer treatment fund
Sergio is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Sergio was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in April. The oncology team at Madrid Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Sergio is 27, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Madrid Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $9,300 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $800
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,400
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,500
• Transport to Madrid Cancer Centre: $600
