Septoplasty for Stella: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled septoplasty in June is out of reach without help covering $8,100 of the cost.

In March I was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery. My surgeon at Saint Matthew Hospital recommended septoplasty, and I have been placed on the schedule for June. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $11,500, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $8,100 short.
Doctors at Saint Matthew Hospital told me endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without septoplasty. I work as a security guard, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $11,500 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a security guard have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
