Septoplasty for Rina: covering what insurance won't
After a thyroid nodule that needs removal, Rina was cleared for septoplasty, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Rina was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in April. The surgeon at Bandung Orthopedic Institute recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,900, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $950 short.
my mother has been in and out of Bandung Orthopedic Institute since April. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rina struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Rina won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
