Septoplasty for Pilar: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled septoplasty in January is out of reach without help covering $1,600 of the cost.

Pilar was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in October. The surgeon at Saint Mary Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,650, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,600 short.
my sister has been in and out of Saint Mary Hospital since October. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,650 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Pilar struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Pilar won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
