Jocelyn was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in September. The surgeon at Saint Elizabeth Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $3,450 short.
my wife has been in and out of Saint Elizabeth Hospital since September. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Jocelyn struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Jocelyn won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
