Septoplasty for Farhan: covering what insurance won't

A scheduled septoplasty in July is out of reach without help covering $750 of the cost.

In April I was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair. My surgeon at Faisalabad Community Hospital recommended septoplasty, and I have been placed on the schedule for July. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,250, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $750 short. Doctors at Faisalabad Community Hospital told me a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without septoplasty. I work as a hotel cleaner, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,250 is far beyond what I've. Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a hotel cleaner have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. I'll not be able to drive during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $750 goes: • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $280 • Hospital stay (5 nights): $320 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $40 • Post-operative medication: $45 • Physiotherapy sessions: $35 • Travel and lodging for the family: $30 Thank you for reading my story.
