Septoplasty for Dana: covering what insurance won't
After gallstones with repeated infections, Dana was cleared for septoplasty, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Dana was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Tel Aviv Community Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,700, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,850 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Tel Aviv Community Hospital since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,700 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Dana struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Dana won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $490
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $1,150
• Post-operative medication: $210
Thank you so much.
