Septoplasty for Benjamin: covering what insurance won't
Benjamin needs septoplasty at Manila Regional Medical Center and the family is $650 short of the hospital's estimate.

Benjamin was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in April. The surgeon at Manila Regional Medical Center recommended septoplasty, and He is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $810, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $650 short.
my brother has been in and out of Manila Regional Medical Center since April. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $810 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Benjamin struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Benjamin won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $650 goes:
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $520
• Post-operative medication: $60
• Physiotherapy sessions: $70
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
