Selim received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
After a cut in working hours, Selim is 2 months behind on rent and has a final eviction notice from the landlord.

When my hours were cut in half in August, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,800.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $2,600
• Late fees and court costs: $125
• Utilities in arrears: $160
• First month of rent as a buffer: $915

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rent arrears (2 months) comes first ($2,600) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. I'll keep the page updated.
