Selam needs a prosthetic leg - help us make it happen
Selam needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $100.
🇪🇹 Ethiopia1,280 views
Selam lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Jimma Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Selam could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $100 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• First-year servicing plan: $50
• Delivery and set-up: $15
Thanks for being kind about this.

Praying for you, Dagmawit. Hope the doctors have good news. We're a small family in Bucaramanga but we're thinking of you. Love from Bucaramanga
