School supplies and a laptop for Sevgi in Istanbul
Sevgi won a place at Istanbul Boys' High School but the family cannot afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Form 4 at Istanbul Boys' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the mathematics course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $300, which is more than we have.
I love mathematics and want to become an architect. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $300 goes:
• Laptop: $165
• School uniform and shoes: $50
• Textbooks and workbooks: $60
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $25
