School supplies and a laptop for Ryan in Knoxville
Ryan won a place at the Knoxville Selective School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.
🇺🇸 United States401 views
Ryan earned a place in Grade 9 at the Knoxville Selective School, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things He needs, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $700, which is more than they have.
Ryan loves biology and wants to become an architect. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
He will take care of everything given and works very hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $700 goes:
• Textbooks and workbooks: $155
• School uniform and shoes: $150
• Laptop: $395
Glad we found this place.

Updates from Olivia
Good news. Because of your gifts ($81 in total) I made the first payment toward laptop. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Olivia
Good news. Because of your gifts ($81 in total) the plan for textbooks and workbooks is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Small update. $49 so far, we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.

Wishing you the best, Olivia. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too!
