School supplies and a laptop for Mwangi in Embakasi
Help Mwangi begin Year 11 with a laptop, uniform and books.
🇰🇪 Nairobi, Kenya1,148 views
Mwangi earned a place in Year 11 at Embakasi Boys' High School, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things He needs, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $150, which is more than they have.
Mwangi loves chemistry and wants to become a doctor. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
He will take care of everything given and works very hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $150 goes:
• Textbooks and workbooks: $45
• School uniform and shoes: $30
• Laptop: $75
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Mwangi!
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. textbooks and workbooks comes first ($45) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
Best of luck, Hamisi. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care
