Mukono
Joseph earned a place in Grade 9 at the Mukono Selective School, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things He needs, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform. The family has few resources; the list costs $150, which is more than they have. Joseph loves chemistry and wants to become a software developer. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours. He will take care of everything given and works very hard. I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything. Where the $150 goes: • Laptop: $100 • School uniform and shoes: $15 • Textbooks and workbooks: $30 • Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $5 If you're reading this, thank you.

Updates from Wafula

  2. Thank you all. We're at 28% now ($42). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for calculator, stationery and a school bag is now scheduled.

  3. We're at 11% thanks to 1 of you. the first invoice got paid this week. More news soon.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. laptop comes first ($100) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.

                • Stay strong. Study hard! We're a small family in Nashik but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Nashik.

Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 22 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best
