School supplies and a laptop for Hellen in Mombasa
Hellen won a place at Mombasa Girls' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

Hellen earned a place in Grade 9 at Mombasa Girls' High School, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things She needs, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $100, which is more than they have.
Hellen loves chemistry and wants to become a nurse. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
She will take care of everything given and works very hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $100 goes:
• School uniform and shoes: $40
• Textbooks and workbooks: $55
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $5
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
