Lagos
Garba earned a place in Grade 9 at Lagos Technical College, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things He needs, including a laptop for the mathematics course, and a uniform. The family has few resources; the list costs $150, which is more than they have. Garba loves mathematics and wants to become a teacher. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours. He will take care of everything given and works very hard. Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag. Where the $150 goes: • Laptop: $80 • School uniform and shoes: $20 • Textbooks and workbooks: $40 • Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $10 Glad we found this place.

    • Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Garba.

      • Sure. The biggest one is laptop, $80. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.

    • hang in there. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Lagos.

Hope things get better soon, Sade. Study hard! My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Gazipur.
