Scarlett needs a lift to Christchurch Regional Medical Center - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to Christchurch Regional Medical Center would keep Scarlett on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Scarlett has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to Christchurch Regional Medical Center alone. After an eyesight problem, Scarlett can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 22 km each way. Scarlett is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
