Swetha, my sister, passed away on 29 March after a stroke. She was 84 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $250 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 15 April. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Swetha to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $250 goes: • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $125 • Transport of the deceased: $50 • Memorial gathering for the family: $75 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
