Suresh, my grandfather, passed away on 21 January after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 82 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,050 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 1 February. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Suresh to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $1,050 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $650 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $280 • Transport of the deceased: $45 • Memorial gathering for the family: $75 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Ravi

    • Sending strength, Ravi. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.

      • Wishing you the best. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Medan.
