Sofía, my grandmother, passed away on 25 July after a sudden heart attack. She was 87 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,100 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 4 August. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Sofía to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $3,100 goes: • Memorial gathering for the family: $330 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $760 • Funeral home services and casket: $2,010 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
