Siddharth, my brother, passed away on 22 September after a short illness. He was 88 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $550 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 3 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Siddharth to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Nagpur hospice. Where the $550 goes: • Transport of the deceased: $55 • Memorial gathering for the family: $45 • Funeral home services and casket: $450 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

  • Sending good thoughts, Sandesh. This could happen to any of us. Don't give up. Thinking of Nagpur.

    • Looking forward to the next update. We're a small family in Hyderabad but we're thinking of you. God bless.

      • Hope things get better soon. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless!
