Saying goodbye to Shilpa - help with funeral expenses
Vihaan lost his sister suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $850.

Shilpa, my sister, passed away on 26 July after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 59 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $850 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 6 August.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Shilpa to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $850 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $590
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $150
• Transport of the deceased: $50
• Memorial gathering for the family: $60

Sure. The biggest one is funeral home services and casket, $590. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Good question.
