Saying goodbye to Pieter - help with funeral expenses
Riaan lost his grandfather suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $1,200.

Pieter, my grandfather, passed away on 4 January after a road accident. He was 64 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,200 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 12 January.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Pieter to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Johannesburg hospice.

• Funeral home services and casket: $730
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $360
• Transport of the deceased: $60
• Memorial gathering for the family: $50

Funeral home services and casket is $730 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page.
