Saying goodbye to Otieno - help with funeral expenses
Otieno passed away on 8 August; we're raising $1,000 for a respectful funeral in Mombasa.

Otieno, my brother, passed away on 8 August after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 82 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,000 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 25 August.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Otieno to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Mombasa hospice.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $370
• Transport of the deceased: $40
• Funeral home services and casket: $590

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. cemetery plot and burial fees comes first ($370) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
