Misaki, my grandmother, passed away on 16 September after a stroke. She was 67 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,200 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 23 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Misaki to have a dignified farewell.

The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.

• Funeral home services and casket: $1,150
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $580
• Transport of the deceased: $250
• Memorial gathering for the family: $220
