Michael passed away on 22 July; we're raising $6,450 for a respectful funeral in Vancouver.

Michael, my grandfather, passed away on 22 July after a short illness. He was 38 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $6,450 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 6 August.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Michael to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.

• Funeral home services and casket: $4,050
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $2,000
• Transport of the deceased: $190
• Memorial gathering for the family: $210

what exactly is the $6,450 for?
Sure. The biggest one is funeral home services and casket, $4,050. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
