Hatem lost his grandfather suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $750.

Marwan, my grandfather, passed away on 18 October after a short illness. He was 58 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $750 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 28 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Marwan to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Shubra hospice.

• Funeral home services and casket: $450
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $290
• Memorial gathering for the family: $10
