Lincoln, my grandfather, passed away on 18 September after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 52 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 7 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Lincoln to have a dignified farewell.

Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.
