Kwesi, my father, passed away on 12 September after a sudden heart attack. He was 44 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 21 September. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Kwesi to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Kumasi hospice. Where the $700 goes: • Transport of the deceased: $30 • Funeral home services and casket: $450 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $220 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
