Khalid, my brother, passed away on 8 March after complications from pneumonia. He was 25 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,750 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 19 March.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Khalid to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Funeral home services and casket: $1,300
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,050
• Transport of the deceased: $270
• Memorial gathering for the family: $130
