Itzel, my mother, passed away on 24 April after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 91 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,050 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 1 May. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Itzel to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $3,050 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $1,800 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $640 • Transport of the deceased: $380 • Memorial gathering for the family: $230 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
