Inés, my sister, passed away on 8 March after a short illness. She was 29 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,450 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 19 March. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Inés to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $1,450 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $960 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $350 • Transport of the deceased: $50 • Memorial gathering for the family: $90 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
