Ihor, my father, passed away on 27 August after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 53 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,600 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 2 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Ihor to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Saint Petersburg hospice.

• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $320
• Transport of the deceased: $60
