Howard, my father, passed away on 26 September after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 58 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,850 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 5 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Howard to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the San Francisco hospice. Where the $4,850 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $2,400 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,900 • Transport of the deceased: $400 • Memorial gathering for the family: $150 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Abigail
