Heike, my grandmother, passed away on 23 February after a road accident. She was 31 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,850 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 10 March. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Heike to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $3,850 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $2,600 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $660 • Transport of the deceased: $280 • Memorial gathering for the family: $310 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
