Grace, my wife, passed away on 9 August after a stroke. She was 59 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $900 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 13 August. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Grace to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $900 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $520 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $240 • Transport of the deceased: $80 • Memorial gathering for the family: $60 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
