Saying goodbye to Emery - help with funeral expenses

Emery passed away on 21 August; we're raising $4,900 for a respectful funeral in Jacksonville.

Emery, my wife, passed away on 21 August after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 22 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,900 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 1 September. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Emery to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $4,900 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $2,800 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,600 • Transport of the deceased: $320 • Memorial gathering for the family: $180 I hope life is good to you.

Updates from Samuel

  1. Small update. $55 so far, I made the first payment toward memorial gathering for the family.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 0% funded and the plan for funeral home services and casket is now scheduled.
