Eleni, my grandmother, passed away on 22 September after a road accident. She was 34 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,200 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 8 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Eleni to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $2,200 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $1,000 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $710 • Transport of the deceased: $230 • Memorial gathering for the family: $260 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
