Saying goodbye to Elena - help with funeral expenses
Elena passed away on 4 September; we're raising $5,650 for a respectful funeral in Bakersfield.

Elena, my wife, passed away on 4 September after complications from pneumonia. She was 92 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $5,650 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 14 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Elena to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Funeral home services and casket: $3,400
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,350
• Transport of the deceased: $380
• Memorial gathering for the family: $520
